Welcome back to my hundredths of thousands of readers. The 2010-11 season kicked off last night with some some boring blowouts, some slow starts that turned into blowouts, and a couple of exciting games. Nothing has changed this year in the way I'm computing rankings. I think the last couple years have been pretty successful in terms of identifying the upper crust, though there's probably still some room for improvement in using it as a predictor of future performance (if my annual bowl game prediction record is any indication). Anyway, lots of crazy plotlines this season with NCAA sanctions and investigations going down and several teams playing their last games in their current conferences. Next year is going to look a lot different, so enjoy this one while you can!
